Cursor Disappearing act

I recently upgraded to 2008 and I have this problem after certain commands. For example with erase, I start the command and click the object and hit enter (right click) and my cursor disappears. It is rather annoying because you have to "wiggle" the mouse whenever you complete the command. I also noticed while a command is active and I move the mouse the title bar will flicker. I made sure I have the latest display drivers and my windows updates have all been installed. My monitor is a 20.1" LCD flat panel hooked up through DVI. I am running Windows XP SP2.

My specs:
2.13 GHz Core2 Duo
2 GB ram
NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500

When did you update the drivers on your video card to the newest version? Maybe try rolling back to an older version, I had to do that myself. Another thought, try re-running the performance tuner.

Hi,

I had this happening in a drawing that had come from another company. Finally figured out why ... the Layout plot scale was 1:0.001 and the Snap size was set to 10m, so my cursor was snapping somewhere off in space! Hence, the darn thing was disappearing. Check your snaps and your plot scale.

I have the same darn problem. talk about an issue. The mouse wiggle has become sort of a nervous twitch now haha. (almost like the old three or four hits of the escape key I use to do just to make sure I was out of a command) Is there anything graphic driven that would cause this?

P.S. this is happening on multiple computers throughout the office.

HA! Funny you mention that. I still hit escape about four times.
