    Default dwg file from hell

700 KB DWG IS ABOUT 450 BIGGER THAN IT SHOULD BE. wHEN XREFED IT TAKES A LONG TIME STUCK ON 99%. IF LINEWORK IS COPIED TO ANOTHER FILE THAN THE FILE IS ALSO SLOW TO LOAD AS XREF. TRIED PUREG, AUDIT, RECOVER, WBLOCK. NOTHING FIXES DWG. THE HOST FILE OF XREF BECOMES SLOW EVEN AFTER XREF IS DETACHED. hOW CAN IT BE FIXED??

Any object copied from the bad file and pasted in a new file, (even a small single line), will corrupt the host file. If you try to link this file into a drawng, it is very slow any ideas would be appreciaed. I cant send ther drawings forewaard or iI'll be spreadin the bug.

    Any Ideas?????

Exclamation Re: dwg file from hell

Sounds like the old layer filters disease... If it's one of the older AC systems that you are still using...
I've attached LFD.lsp, I think I got it from one of my early visits to just such a site as this...
Run it, it's genius for that old problem...

    Hope this helps...
