1. When adding exterior openings, Revit currently slices thru all layers of the wall evenly and extends the jamb and trim to the external face of the wall. In my practice this is rarely needed. Usually the exterior trim should be on the exterior face of the core, and the opening in the masonry layer offset from the core opening by the width of the trim. I have adjusted my window and door family models to accomplish this, but a better solution would be to allow for stepped openings that can be flexed for each layer of the walls structure.
2. I see a need for a faux aperture. When I insert an Isokern which has is open to 30"AFF (18" below the viewplane) my wall shows in plan-view as being unbroken. I have a work around, but this could be solved more easily with an opening that shows only in plan-view)
3. Just in passing, Revit needs some of the text flexibilty that AutoCAD has, most especially text width factors.
