Whay is it about these doors that seperates them from others?
If it's a systematic thing, then you can use the Filters in the schedule view properties to control which items are included.
If it's arbitrary, then you need to add a value to an unused parameter for the doors you want to exclude and use the same filter tool to exclude those doors. Use 'Comment@ for example, and filter out the doors that have a Comment parameter that starts with X.
Filter the schedule by some parameter. If there's something that all of these doors already have in common (for example, Thickness = 1 3/4") then filter by that parameter in your schedule. If they don't have something in common, fill in a parameter that you're not using and filter by that. For example, fill in the Comments parameter with "Do not schedule" and filter out all doors that have that value.
one simple solution would be,
use an extra field like type comment.
name it not to be scheduled (in your schedual)
adjust your schedual properties
filter on type comment
Hide the type properties field
et voila,
your schedual without the untagged doors
Each door has a "Mark". The tag simply displays the "Mark" value for all to see.
Example: Project has existing doors that you don't want to show on your schedule.
Leave the existing doors untaged, but change the existing doors "Mark" to "X101" "X102" etc.
Then edit the schdule to filter out all doors that "Contain" "X" in the "Mark" parameter.
Note: the doors dont have to be existing.
Hope this helps,

What we did was create a classification. Our doors can be set to "doors to be scheduled" and "doors NOT scheduled". That way, any type of door we happen to not need on the schedule will not show up. Many times this has been used when there is a plan option for a particular area that is moved off to the side of the main plan until a decision is made and we don't want the doors from that option to show up. Do a search on the forums for classifications and there are some good instructions on how to set them up. That is how I figured them out.
