Can't get scroll wheel zoom to work

I'm using Civil 3D 2008 and just got a new dell workstation. I can't get the zoom to work with the scroll wheel but the pan works with the middle button. The scroll zoom works with Microstation, so I know it's not the mouse. If you have any idea how to get this feature to work it would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

Try to use a zoomwheel variable.This function in AutoCAD but in Civil I don't know.
