    Cool Stretching Hatch

I've got a couple of blocks that are hatched and require stretching. It takes me a while to get it to work and I honestly can't figure out the ryhme or reason. Does anyone know about any particulars that have to be done for hatch to work properly when being stretched in a Dynamic Block? I'm running AutoCAD LT 2006, it seems like I have problem with hatch behaving sometimes just using it in dwgs. So any info would be helpful and if nothing is known in general I'll post my blocks for examination =).

one thing is not to include the hatch in the actions unless it's a rotation parameter if required...
Sometimes, i get lost in my own thoughts and need to ask directions to find my way back.

Be sure the boundary the hatch is associated to is closed. That can cause some oops problems.

Another thing I've noticed is using certain actions after others. Basically, I use the rule of stretching before arraying or anything else. Works pretty well for me.

    Angry Re: Stretching Hatch

Has anyone run into the problem of the hatch deciding to unassociate itself from it's boundary randomly as you work on other parts of the DB? I have this one block that is so aggrevating b/c I have to reassociate the boundary and make sure everything is perfect on one view (that includes hatch) everytime I edit anything in anyother part of the block.

I've had limited success with this as well. You could always tried closed polylines, sometimes that works for me.

You could also place the polylines on defpoints to ensure they don't show up. I think you can chalk this up to a bug they haven't worked out yet

Hey, wait! Have you tried using a region instead of a polyline yet? May be worth a shot!

I actually don't recommend defpoints, but rather the use of a special non-plotted layer, if using such boundaries.
