Hi, I discovred something never to do again today. Thought I might start a list..it will be sure to grow.
#1... never set a grading criteria for grade to distance with a grade of zero. Evidently C3D doesn't like that zero and a fatality always results. If you change the grade to a small number it is almost as effective as a flat grade for grading a shelf in a grading profile.
Please fell free to ad to the list .

Never move profiles in Land Desktop.

Good lesson learned that day, when I moved all the profiles and linework to tidy up model space. Yeah. Probably won't be doing that again any time soon.

Funny thing, I did just that last week. I am currently rebuilding the drawing this week. Should have known.

Here's a simple one, never try to view a 2d tree in the object viewer. Fun if you want to crash on demand though.

Never use Land Desktop if you have a copy of C3D installed.

Actually, I use flat grades quite often with no ill effects.

Never use the AutoCAD copy command for ANY C3D created objects... just make a surface, new pipe or structure using the proper menus.

The copied part using the AutoCAD copy command will associate the part to the original part. So when you turn off the original part that it was copied from, it will turn off the copied part, despite the fact that you renamed the copied part to something else. It has to do with alias or tag names for the object.
