Default Dyn Block annotations float around

I have created several symbols in ADT 2006. Elevation, Section, Title. Most of the time they work great. But sometimes when you copy/paste the symbol into a different drawing, the annotation text will move! I have attached an image and a dwg of the actual block. When you open it up two of the annotations are in the wrong location, but it looks fine in block editor. Anyone run into a similar situation? Thanks in advance

Not sure what the problem is, when you insert the same block reference within your sample drawing it comes in fine.

Is is possible that the attributes are using a text style that's being modified in different drawings? That may explain that a perfectly good block being pasted into a drawing with a modified text style, the attributes could go wacky.

    Just a thought.

BTW, when you use "battman" and sync the attributes to that block reference, it fixes them.

It might have to do with the fact you created the attribute with a locked location. I seem to recall that causing issues when I was playing around with attributes previously.

Since this is really a core AutoCAD functionality item, I would like to recommend moving this to the AutoCAD DynBlocks forum as you will get better help there on this subject. Let me know if you would like me to do that.

your attributes have the same names - which can cause a lot of headaches. most of that really looks like you just need to sync your block(s).

Syncing the block works when I am in the resourse drawing but it doesn't stick when I have inserted it into a background or sheet file. It looks good when I hit the sync button in the Block Attribute Manager dialog but when I hit the ok button to exit the dialog the block Un-syncs.

And as far as the attributes having the same names, are you talking about the values of the attributes?

    you have several attributes named:

    X
    X_XX000

if you rename these it should help out a lot.
