Transforming a DWG from NAD27 to NAD83 in the state plane environment
I am trying to find an easy way to change a drawing's coordinate system. I am often supplied with drawings that are in NAD 27 or NAD 83, along with an appropriate State Plane system, and I would like to transform them. According to the help page I should start a new project in the Coordinate System I want the drawing to be in; and then import the drawing and Autodesk will automatically perform the transform. Is this the preferred method?
