I'm having a problem with our Tool Palettes on AutoCAD 2004: they won't open on the first try.

The user has to toggle the tool palettes exactly 3 times to make them visible (using CTRL-3, or the toolbar button, or the pull-down menu item).

If I check the TPSTATE variable, it is 0 when AutoCAD starts. After CTRL-3, TPSTATE goes to 1 (but no palettes are visible). After another CTRL-3, TPSTATE goes to 0 again. And on the third CTRL-3, TPSTATE goes to 1 and the palettes actually appear on screen.

It seems like something in our customization is making AutoCAD "think" the palettes are open, but not show them on screen. What could be causing this?

Other info:

If the tool palettes are open when AutoCAD starts up, then there is no problem. If the TP are closed at startup, we get this strange behavior.

This problem seems to be linked to our company profile, because if I go back to the "unnamed profile" the problem disappears (however, ditching the profile is not an option at this point.)
