Exclamation Alternate Units Conversion Factor Error!

I'm using mm as my primary units and inches as my alternate units.

AutoCAD 2004 seems to be using a conversion factor of 25.64 to convert between mm and inches.

The correct conversion factor is 25.4 (according to British Standard 2856 'Precise conversion of inch and metric sizes on engineering drawings').

The value of 25.64 seems to be based on the incorrect assumption that there are exactly 39 inches in 1 meter.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Does this occur in more recent versions of AutoCAD?

Default Re: Alternate Units Conversion Factor Error!

I noticed several years ago that acad used a factor of 0.0394. I always changed it to 0.03937008 which is fairly accurate.

Okay, I just looked at the alt units tab in A2008 and the figure "Multiplier for all Units" is pre-set to 25.4 .
