    Default EDIT IN PLACE

When i edit in place i get this message

    Command: _refedit
Errors found in references to other objects:
** Application reference missing: ACAD, to AcDbMaterial.

and it fails to allow me to edit my block

but if i go to the block editor there is no problem.

does anyone know how to fix this?

    Default Re: EDIT IN PLACE

AcDbMaterial looks like it may refer to some vertical object. Are you using vanilla Acad, or ADT or LDT? Or... perhaps was the block itself created in a vertical?

We don't use the built-in block editor, we use a tool from http://www.cadenhancement.com/products.html, and we run an add-on for Interiors.
