    Default Parametric MV Parts

Ok, adding a block part is...more or less easy. How about adding a parametric MV part?

For example, I need a but welded wye. There are wye's but all have some kind of flange or attachment...

Are you asking how to do it or just looking for a finished product? What sizes (main and branch) are needed? What dimensions are needed - Do you have the ASTM or manufacturers data? You could just use OTB parts and change end conditions if you are looking for something that just has to look like it.

well, how to do it would be preferable...I did take an existing wye, and modify it to look like what I want...But now how do I get AutoCAD to recognize it as a new part? I see there is an xml file...That is where I have no clue.

It may be helpful if you could list what your efforts have been to date (the procedure used) so we would know where to start and what to include/exclude.

    Cosmo,

I have created a couple parametric mvparts and found the tutorial pretty helpful - did you read thru that?

If you have specific questions let me know, I might have found the answers in my "stumbling thru" making them...
