Exclamation Odd font issues with Arial Narrow ttf

I have 130 drawings that after completing the client has pointed out that he needs all of the font to be in Arial narrow. I went into the drawings and changed the style to Arial narrow. The odd thing is that some text is showing the way we want while other text is showing really bold. I check the properties and everything matches. I tried matchprop and that doesn't work. When I double click to edit the text it shows the correct way in the edit box preview but as soon as I say ok it reverts back to the thick text. Its very noticeable on screen as well as the prints.
I have a lot of work to do to change the 10 different font styles in the drawings to Arial narrow now it looks like I will also need to rewrite the text on all those drawings over again? Any thoughts or solutions?

Do you have arial narrow installed through the windows fonts directory?

Yeah I even un-installed the font and installed the one the client gave me just in case and the same problem comes up.

Here is the other thread. It's not the same problem and may not help, buy you might find something useful.

Something else to check, is to make sure the width factor of the text objects are 1.0. Non-standard (i.e. not 1.0) width factors can cause this.

Unhappy Re: Odd font issues with Arial Narrow ttf

I looked at both posts and they don't solve my problem either. The font is there and it shows fine for one txt but not the other. I am attaching a sample of what i am going through. originally the file had 3 font styles using romans.shx. I changed them to use arial narrow. Now a fewlines look right and the others look bold. However if I bold them they are even thicker. I even tried to create a brand new style and change them to that style and it didn't work.

I think I figured it out. Even though your elevation shows to be 0, I set the elevation to 1, then back to 0 and it looks fine. I then went back to the original and used the flatten command, and they all look the same now. The elevation is off so slightly, it's still registering as 0. Try to flatten all you text, that should work.

Thanks for posting these links, I have been having that same issue when I copy text/dimensions and snap them to some of our vendor drawings.
