Default Can't save a dwg that was created in Mech Desktop

I have a dwg that was given to me by the supplier. They use Mech Desktop. I am using MEP2008 I have downloaded the object enabler. the problem that I am having is when I put a housekeeping pad on it and try to save it I get this message "MDT Object Enabler does not allow saving back!" I am currently saving as AutoCAD 2007. Does anyone know a way around this?

Maybe copying the drawing into a clean OOTB template?

Make a spare copy of the file and try Exploding all the MDT objects.

when I explode the MDT objects they go away.

I have tried to copy and paste. no good
I have tried renameing the dwg to dxf. no good
I have tried exploding the entire dwg. no good
I have tried exploding just the MDT objects. no good
I have tried bursting the dwg. no good
Just for fun I tried to e-transmit it. no good

    I am out of ideas.

Cool Re: Can't save a dwg that was created in Mech Desktop

I am having this exact same problem though with different versions. I have dwg files made in MDT 2005 and trying to use them in AutoCAD 2008. I have used the enabler though can't notice any difference with the files what so ever. All seems ok with the dwgs and open with AutoCAD though when you try to in sert as a block or copy and paste they seem to be invisable or not inserting, not sure.
Surely someone has had this problem and knows how to treat it ?
