property set definitions not updating

I have an odd situation. One of my users has xref'd in a floor plan that contains spaces and room tags reading property sets from the space. After xrefing it into her furniture plan, she is re-tagging the plan due to the placement of the tags in the flloor plan and noticed that when a tag or room name is changed in the floor plan, her furniture plan is not updating. Nor does it update when the xref is reloaded. is there any way to force the tags in her furniture plan to read the most current propertyy sets data from the xref'd plan?

Lets make sure of a couple things here. First it would seem that you have a nested xref condition here if I understand correctly. If that is the case PSD's have trouble sending info to nested drawings. One needs to go directly to the source file to modify the PSD's if you are looking at a nested xref in a host file.

If it is not a nested xref and rather you have taken the construct and referenced it into 2 different view files, make sure the construct is closed when tagging. Also, if you have tagged 2 separate files and are editing tag data in the host file, you should be doing that through the Properties Palette "Edit Referenced Property Set Data" button on the Extended Data tab. If you are using the ootb room tags, they should work in this situation. Otherwise you might need to post the file for us to take a look at.

Actually I think I'm having a problem with certain PDS's I removed a few groups that we don't typcially use and it seems to work fine. It updated right away and seems to work correctly if I make another change in the base file. Sorry to bother.
