    Default Interior curtain wall corner

    Hi all,

I am trying to use the curtain wall system for interior glass walls; I am running into a problem when I come to a corner. The gyp partition wall I am embedding it in will not clean up at the corners, i tried to disallow joining but then the bulk head wont clean up. Any tricks?

    Thanks,

    Dan

This is a known problem you have to stop your gyp wall at the curtain wall. If you still need wall above, split the gyp wall and change its base offset.

Thanks Scott, I offset the glass in the constraints box and it cleaned it up, makes it a pain to locate in the wall but it works.

    Thanks again,

    Dan

You did what now? Can you go into a little more detail? This has been a problem since at least before Revit 7 back around 2005. I have fought this problem often.

When no mullion is present the glazing extends to the end of the curtain wall. When the glazing panel offset equals zero, the panels appear to join. If offset glazing is desired, it is the mullions that must be shifted.

Unless I'm missing something, I believe there will still be a piece of the main wall remaining at the curtainwall's corner joint.

It has been a while since I used this. I forgot to mention that the location line (centerline) of the curtain wall must be aligned with the face of the host wall (which is why the mullions must be offset). You have a little bit of “wiggle room” before the corner of the host wall appears.
