    G'day

I cant offer anything specific on scanners but if you have Acrobat 6 it'll allow you to create a PDF from any scanner. I'd highly recommend Canon scanners, in Oz there inexpensive and easy to use.

Thanks, I did know that though... I guess I needed to be more specific.

    I need a 11x17 form feed scanner....

I need to be able to place a stack of 20+/- sheets and let it create 1 pdf.

I don't think there are any scanners that save out directly to PDF. You will need to buy software to do that. The one I use is OmniPage Pro 14.0. Here is a review from CNET.

Usually, when I need to create a mutli-page .pdf file, regardless or page size, I simply use Acrobate reader and add pages. Using Adobe Acrobat 4.0, click on Document>Insert Page.

    Hi Glenn

Sorry, give the HP 9100C Digital Scanner a look over (we have them here within the office, scan directly to PDF).

    Hi

Please note I've *moved* this thread from the Coffee Without CAD Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic (I believe the Coffee Without CAD Forum will be spring cleaned once in a while).

    Thanks, Mike

Hey, stop proving me wrong. I don't like it when people prove me wrong. I get very angry. Maybe that's why I'm always angry

    Good find.

    Hi

Sorry about that Hulk, I mean Glenn (thought you were looking a bit green).

11 x 17 ok! in real world measurement units A3 420 x 297 (approx), the following are probably out of the price range you quoted originally (due to them being multi functional systems) -

    Minolta Di351 or Di650 or CF1501 or CF3102e

All the above will scan to PDF A3 size.

We have all of the above systems here in this office, generally speaking they're all pretty good.

    Have a good one, Mike
