Default importing styles from another drawing

ok here is the question I am trying to answer. I am currently setting up some DWT files for Civil 3d 2008, if i create all my styles for, let's say my alingments in a file named "Site.DWT" is there a way I can import those styles into another DWT file? I'm fairly new to setting up styles in 08 and pretty much learning it on the fly. I know the answer may be easy enough to make some roll there eyes...but please throw me a bone here.

Probably the easiest way is to simply insert the one drawing into the other. One drawback is it brings in everything from that drawing and not just the styles. If you only want the styles, open both files, go to the settings tab, set the view to Master View (that's the pulldown at the top). Set the target drawing current (the one you want to import the styles into) and then select the source drawing in your settings tab. Then, simply the drag the styles from the settings tab of the source drawing into the drawing area of the target drawing.

Thanks. My family is actually pretty good to me. If there is one thing I've learned, my family comes way before my career. Success in a career can not possibly make up for a failure at home. I love helping out here but if it ever got in the way of my family, see ya!

Anyways, back on topic: There have been several requests for a better way of managing styles in general in the wishes group. I wouldn't be suprised if the next release addresses this topic. Remember, those who know, can't say and those who say, don't know. I haven't heard anything, just speculating.

Can I hear a Design Center integration with C3D styles?
