Question Updating Title Block Fields Using SSM

    Hi,

I tried to customized my own title block for a batch of our drawings, tried to insert fields (title, scale, revision number, etc.) using ATTDEF, and made the title block in to an autocad dwg. block saved it as a .DWT file. Each of the drawings would use this template as their layout.

The problem is, when I tried to update the fields using the "properties" of the SSM, the value of the fields doesn't change, unless I erase the original block and re-insert the new one. So every time a change the value of the fields I have to re insert the "title block" block again to reflect the new data.

I already mapped my default template file location to the folder of my newly created drawing template but I still hadn't solved this one. Does anyone knows how to fix this?

    Thanks,

how did you create the title block's attributes? thru "edit block in place" is the only way i've been able to apply SSM fields properly...
