Default .dwt compatibility 2008lt and 2006lt

Will a .dwt file created on 2008LT work in 2006LT? I can get the same file to work properly in 2007LT, but 2006LT only gives me a blank modelspace, all the settings are gone and the basic layout tabs are back. I'm at a loss here. Any help? I can provide more information if needed. Thank you.

I guess it depends what items are included in the template file, plus it will need to be saved down to the 2004 dwg file format. Any features introduced in 2008 will not be accessable in 2006, annotative documentation for example. Have you tried opening the dwt in 2008LT and saving it as 2004 dwt (file format)? Then try opening the saved down version in 2006LT - if that makes sense.

Yeah, sorry...I forgot to mention that. Because some of our clients are still using older versions and we use multiple versions in house, all of our copies of CAD are set to save as 2004. Also, I didn't use anything in 2008 (sad I know) that would not be available in a previous version.
