    Default Project Navigator-Help

My office just upgraded to ACA2008 and we want to use it to its fullest capabilities. I somehow was nominated as the office "cad manager" and set the offices CAD standards in the process of setting the office up I have read the Paul Aubin book practically from front to back and read our CAD tutorial book but for some reason i still feel very shakey on project navigator.

Does anybody know of any good books or tutorials or websites that are available for project navigator? Anything that goes into more depth about the full depths of project navigator, something i can use as a referance when a questions arises?

I just hate not fully understandign something as i am using it and guessing while i am using it... so anyy information would be great!

    Thank you!

Have a look at ATP129 in the ATP archives available via the education link. You may also be able to find some AU handouts in the same place which could be of help.

Steve, you're slipping! This is the second persone you've done this to!!!

Welcome to Augi, congrats on your first post.........

Now to the question. I'm a PN newbie. I've only completed 1 project and now I'm using it full time for all my others. It's great! I read Paul's book, and asked a ton of questons in the ACA project navigator forum. It's a little daunting, but once you get it it's pretty easy. The best advice I can give you is to just start, you'll catch on quick. If all else fails, you've got Augi!

    Talking Re: Project Navigator-Help

Thanks guys... Yeah i have a sneaking suspicion you will be hearing a lot from me going forward!!! My office is just getting on th PN band wagon and it has been a slow and bumpy ride with me and one other co-worker dragging them the entire way hahaha!! NOT FUN!

I think PN is worthy of a book unto itself... the rest of ACA2008 i was able to transition over no problem so far (*as i knock on wood*) but i do have some exprience with a program called ArchiCAD which PN reminds me of a bit? SO i am a bit ahead of the curve then some of my fellow ACA'ers in the office. By what i have seen on the forums is there are mixed reviews on how worth it PN is. But just the little bit i have used it so far and like i said my past experience with a similar program i think it is very worth it!

I just get super frustrated at myself when i dont fully understand something... and i get hesitant to impliment my ideas in the office... but somebody has to be the pioneer around here.. why not be me??

So dont fret guys you will probibly be hearing lots from me as myself and a co-worker of mine jump feet first into the fun filled world of PN!!!!

    See you soon!

Oh, by the way, you're in the ACAD forum. If you have ACA, you want to be in the Architure forum. There's also a forum devoted to PN. Here's the links

    ACA http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=784

    PN http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=395
