Default Published plots are mostly blank

We are using Land Desktop 2008 and everythime we publish to our Oce TDS400 plotter, the sheet plots out with only a few lines or a dimension arrow or two and nothing else. Publishing to our laser HP5550 works great. Sending single plots works with no problems. We did not have this issue in Land Desktop 2006. Any ideas?

When you print single compared to using ._PUBLISH, is the same page setup used each time? If you publish "to file" (as opposed to directly to the printer), are the results the same?

I am using the same page setup for single print and publish. In publish, the first file prints fine, then the error occurs on each page afterwards. Publishing to DWF and then DWF to the plotter works, but the top and bottom margins are cut right at the titleblock line.

I think I found the fix though. I read about the PUBLISHCOLLATE variable. When set to 1 (default), I get the error. I changed it to 0 and it seems to print fine. More tests will confirm, but good for now. Thanks.

Now that you mentioned about the first plot being OK, I agree, PUBLISHCOLLATE should solve it.

    Set PUBLISHCOLLATE to 0

The only time we set it to 1 is when we need to publish a multisheet PDF.

Setting it to 1 causes all sheets to be plotted electroniclly prior to being send to the designated printer/plotter. Most seem to choke on the mass electronic push and only print partial sheets. Setting it to 0 means each sheet will be sent to the printer/plotter as soon as it is generated. No waiting.

try running AUDIT. Type Y to fix all the errors. Save.

Sometimes drawings will just create errors over time. Running audit will fix the "missing viewport" problems.
