Default Problem with Carlson data points

I insert a data set with 120 points, type 'm' for move, select the all points, and move them 100' feet to the left.

PROBLEM: half the points move 100' to the left, the other half of the points move 400' to the left.

BUT: if I use the move command on the right-click menu, I do NOT get the quirky error.....

BOTTOM LINE: what is the programmatic difference between the 2 commands?

Impossible to know without knowing exactly what command the "M" shortcut is executing.

What about the regular old, core move command?
    Execute it with "._MOVE"

I tried these typed commands and still got tthe error:

    move
    _move
    ._move

When I initiate the right-click 'move' command, and check the command window, it states it initiated the "_move" command. Yet when I type "_move" I get the error...........

I believe I may have found a work around..............

Select the points first, then initiate the 'move' command. That is why the right-click command works - the points are already selected......

I will keep everyone posted as to whether this is TRULY a workaround.
