    Default Help Mtext problem

Some time ago I was given a tip to change the font style in my Mtext to a specified TTF font, due to the default font fading in and out. Can someone help me get back to the AutoCAD default?

    I have ADT3.3 (ACAD 2002)

Do you mean that you just want to remove the font overrides applied to that particular MTEXT entity? If so, while in the MTEXT editor, right click and choose "Remove Formatting"

Just saw that you are on 2002 - not sure if this command is there.....

You should be able to use the STYLE command to change whatever your default MTEXT text style is to a font that you want to use. This will not be retroactive, but if you change this in your template drawing, it will take effect for all new drawings. To change it for old drawings, you would need to run the STYLE command in those drawings to change the font of your text style.

Thanks for your suggestions. But the problem was in the windows XP font folder. AutoCAD 2002 used proxy fonts for non standard AutoCAD .shx fonts. At one time I changed the mtproxy 1 to a different .ttf font (don’t ask me how), a Tahoma font. This allowed the nonstandard .shx font we used to appear as Tahoma in the Mtext Editor Dialog box. The reason we changed was because the standard txt appearance would drop or ghost out letters. Fortunately I had a machine that was not changed, I copied his mtproxy 1.ttf to my windows font directory and corrected the problem.

    Thanks for you suggestions.
