One last thought: If you are looking for a really good motion blur (usually only matters in animation) the best way to do that is to render out a velocity channel through Render Elements. Use that in Combustion to generate Combustion's motion blur. It's a faster way when dealing with a large sequnce of frames and can be adjusted in Combustion.

I think we would all like to conquer this challange in Max, but if push comes to shove with your still, you can always render the leaf out as "selected" with an alpha and apply the motion blur with a Photoshop filter (a bit of a hack, but will work).

Sorry about not getting back faster
Yup, closing up the key frames and increasing the distance of travel works. I think that it was mostly the key frames.
Thank you all for the help

    Craig,

Curious if you've gotten toa final image yet. I'd love to see how this turned out.

I agree, this scene looks great. Did you create this for fun?

Nope, I have not had time to finish it. I plan to get back to it but it will be next month. I think that my key frames needed to be closer and the leaf needed to move a little more to get it to work. I'll post a pic after I finsh it.
Thanks for the help on it.
