Right-click on the windows desktop. Select Properties, select Settings, look at the "Color quality" setting - it should be at least "16 bit".
yeah i check that what i mean by my color table is messe dup is
index color 255 = RGB 179,179,179
click on image to see in greater detail
I don't see anything wrong with your colors. When you have a white background color 255 = 179,179,179. With a black background 255 = 255,255,255.
ok ok.. umm to compare if you type in color in auto cad it will bring up the same table even compare colors in other rows and you will notice quite the difference
the reason this is turning to be an issue now is casue on a image with wording on top which was white used to print white now it has the shade of grey in it.
and the color in the other rows are more darker than usual.
I don't know what makes it happen, but AutoCAD does switch color books sometimes. I'll be looking at true white for color 255, print the dwg, and next thing I know color 255 is 179,179,179 and looks light gray on the screen.
If you use CTBs, and you can live with the screen showing gray sometimes as long as it comes out white on paper, then set color 255 in your CTB to print realcolor white rather than "Use object color". Otherwise, use the following...
My solution is - don't use color 255 for white. I use a realcolor value of 254,254,254. It may just barely be visible against a white screen background, but that's OK - it sure looks white on paper.
Why 254? I have sometimes seen 255,255,255 get magically reverted to index-color 255, which by magic will again transform to 179,179,179 - so I've always used 254,254,254.
