    Default The Phantom Sheet

    O'Revit Gods

We have a project that at one point had a blank sheet created to hold a space for FP-101. This sheet was removed over two months ago from the project.

Now we try to create a new sheet numbered FP-101, and we are told that the sheet already exists!

This Phantom Sheet cannot be found in the project browser but is listed on the Sheet Index!

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance,
    Dan

It may be obvious but If you click on the Project Browser, and go to the (+) Sheets folder, is it properties set to Browser - Sheets : all?

This way we are sure there's no filter preventing it from appearing on the project browser...

Thanks for the suggestion, but no dice, we have looked at any way of sorting the list of sheets in Project Browser, and it is not listed.

Is there another way to go to a sheet with no views on it if it is not listed in Project Browser?

Have you tried deleting it from the Drawing List?

We did add a filter for views to help sort them, but nothing for sheets. We have tried setting both views and sheets back to "all", saving the file and reopening. But the sheet just does not exist in the Project Browser.

I wish it was a simple hidden sheet, lost or misplaced, but it looks like its gone.

Nope, but now I have and that did not resolve it either. ( I always forget about that small check Box)

Also the sheet is not listed while printing in the list of all of the sheets.

We have sent the file up to Autodesk through our reseller, for one last hail marry.

    Got it!

In the Sheet Index, after selecting the Phantom Sheet, there is a Delete Button at the top.
You get the warning that this will remove the sheet.

All is good again in Revit Land.

Dan, I think what you have is a placeholder sheet. It is a really great function within Revit for preparing and standardizing drawing sets. There´s also some buttons in the top right corner that allow you to hide the placeholder sheets. Please excuse the slight delay of a mere 13 years...)))
