Pan with middle button of mouse

-today I aquired a new wireless mouse and keyboard
-unfortunately I have lost the ability to pan using the scroll wheel....any ideas?

Is MBUTTONPAN set to 1?
Did you install the correct drivers for the mouse?
Is the driver setting overriding the normal middle button function?

Yes the mouse is functioning as it should in every other way.
I am assuming that it is an autocad customization problem.

yes the mbuttonpan is set to one...the middle scroll wheel is a black dot and arrow when move me left to right on the screen as opposed to real time panning

thanks for the help...i found the info i needed on this site which worked. apparently in my logitech settings instead of autoscroll the wheel must be set to 'middle button' in order for the pan button to work.
