    Default Transparent themes or polygons

I am trying to create a transparent polygon fill. I have a polygon which is filled. The layer is in the Display Manager. The Help instructions (which are very confusing) include editing the style within the Display Manager. The only problem is, when I right click the layer in Display Manager, there is no option for editing the style displayed. Obviously I am doing something fundamentally wrong, but no idea what it is.
    Thanks

It has to be a FDO Feature polygon to have the transparenties property. Standard AutoCAD polygons do not that property in the display manager.
