line-display in sketch-mode

hey!

i am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction: when i create an in-place family (wall) by sweep, i can't seem to get revit to show me my sketch-lines when i try to draw my profile.

i draw the profile in a section-view. in the current project i have 3 sections .. 2 of them the pink sketch-line shows. in the last one it doesn't. even if i create a view-template from one of the 2 good sections and apply this to the last one ... doesn't help. i don't use phases, i have turned on all visibility settings, object styles are correct and coarse/medium/fine doesn't make any difference.

You are probably drawing those lines on a ref plane beyond the depth of the section line

Check your sweep path, either in plan or a 3D view. You should see a little line perpendicular to the path (in plan) or a little square in a 3D view showing where the profile will be drawn. It's usually put at the center of the first path line you draw, unless you delete that first line, then it will be moved to the next path line. Now just make sure that your section's extents cover that spot where the profile is drawn.
