Default Can not get Autocad Rel 14 to run on XP

I purchased a new machine after mine died. Went to install my old verion of AutoCad Rel 14 ( I use a custom lisp program for serialization), and the system recognizes the CD, but nothing happens. Even when I double click on the setup.exe, still nothing.

So I serched online and found how to change the compatibility mode to Win2000, or NT, or Win95. None of these modes worked either.

I have copied the entire CD to my hard drive, still no go.

Made sure the config.nt, autoexec.nt are correct and they are. So I am at a loss.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I am logged in as Administrator.

Unfortunately this is not the issue.
