    Default New Computer for Max

    Hi guys,

I am looking at purchasing a new work computer. I have being looking at a Quad core processor along with 4 gigs of ram min. Not sure what Nvida card I am going to get but thats where you guys come in.

With this new setup, I will still use Revit (which now includes Mental Ray; watered down of course) and some AutoCAD work.

Any thoughts on far as hardware goes? The new system will be XP 64 bit. I have been using XP 64 for the last year and I love it.

Thanks in advance for the input!!!

If you are looking at doing lots of renders, I highly recommend going with a dual quad core since you will be running mr. That will greatly reduce render times and help speed any iterative processes...
