    Angry External Database Tables

I have a drawing with linework. I want to attach object data from an excel spreadsheet to the objects. I attach the database (with 5000 rows) in the Map Explorer Task Pane and create a link template. I right click on the database and select "edit table". The table comes up read-only and has only 77 rows available. I can attach the 77 rows to 77 objects, but that's it. I can not make the remaining rows display or edit cells. Please help. The help menu is worthless.

    Unhappy Re: External Database Tables

I was able to set up the spreadsheet to enable me to view all 5000 rows of data, but the table is still "read-only" in the data view box (edit mode). Any ideas anyone? The excel file is not designated read only and the read only togle in the Map Options/Data Source box/tab is not checked.
