ACAD TO NAVIS

IS THERE A LIST OF PREFERRED SETTINGS TO MAKE IN ACAD 2008 MEP BEFORE
I SEND MY ACAD FILE TO MY NAVIS GUY? AND CAN I PLUG IN MY ACAD THE 'EXPORT TO NAVIS.NWC COMAND' WITHOUT THE NAVIS PROGRAM
LOADED ON MY LAPTOP?

For Coordination we prefer that all xref's and viewports are detached, the drawing is purged and audited, and set into an isometric view prior to uploading.

For acutal settings in 2008 MEP, I don't know because we're running 2007 B.S., but I don't have to set any particular options to have Navis render our system.

I would only worry about settings if you are using piping, then you have to change all your pipe styles to not show 1 line, here's more info I posted awhile back, this is for going to revit but most of it applies to navis too http://bimmanager.blogspot.com/2007/...nto-revit.html

Makes it easier if your origin is the same as their's of course.

I don't think you can use the exporter without installing because it has to check if you have a license
