Scale List Edit

Hi everyone, is there any way you can wipe out the unuse scale list forever. it's keep coming back every time i open the drawing. i already done the -scalelistedit to reset the open drawing & that's good i wipe out the scalelist that i don't want to. But when i open the drawing again it's back again. By the way i'm using AutoCAD 2008

I already have installed the 2008 services pack sp1.

Any one can help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Ok, you have SP1 installed. That is the first step.

Remember that the scale list entries are stored in the drawing, and SP1 only prevents scale list entries from nested xrefs from being imported. It does nothing to affect existing drawings.

You have to clean ALL of your drawings starting from the bottom up. In other words, start at the lowest generation nested xref and work your way up to the parent. From that point on, only the scale list entries from the 1st level xref will be imported.

AutoCAD 2009 includes a toggle to "hide" xref scale list entries.

I have it setup in by pgp as SL. Everynow and then I run this but only on bigger jobs. It is quite a pain really.
