    Default Rendering software

I was going to get a rendering program like 3D Max or Viz but Mental Ray is coming out with 2009. Will I get better resolve will 3D Max/Viz or Mental Ray?

Mental Ray is already in 3D max. So I guess I will get 3D max to learn Mental Ray.

A little premature to purchase now, unless you already have the need this rendering software now. Mental Ray is not handled the same between Revit and Max although it is the same software license. The controls are somewhat different.

And since Mental Ray will be integrated into Revit 2009 I think it will be easier to learn and use than the whole 3D Max package.

If you haven't learned 3D Max yet, I would wait until Revit 2009 is released.
