Default OBJECTS DONT DISPLAY MODEL/ PAPER SPACE

OK, i have tried CDG Purge 4.0, DELETE EMPTY ENTITY, PURGE, and AUDIT. none have fixed the problem. my title block is xref'd into my plot sheets, my floor plan is xref'd into my plot sheets as well. i have run all of these possible fixes on all of my drawings and the problem persists. at this point, i have absolutely no idea where to go next with this.

when i open a drawing, the blocks, notes, dimensions, everything but the xref is typically missing from model space/ viewport. if i run an audit, close the drawing then reopen it, it usually works for that span of time that the drawing is open. after that if i save, close and reopen the drawing(s) the problem starts again. sometimes if i toggle back and forth between model and paper space, then end in paper space, enter a viewport, then select the xref (floor plan) then toggle back to model space, everything seems to work fine. the major problem is going to be when i have to publish this job, not everything plots. title block, xref, notes, various things become missing and thus are missing from any plots.

(mod's if there is a better place to put this where i may be able to find better responses please move this post as necessary. to find the best results.)

(POSTED THIS ELSEWHERE, WITH LITTLE TO NO RESPONSE SO I MOVED IT HERE)

Sounds like a bad install to me. Have you tried repairing or reinstalling CAD?

No, but it is also project specific.

I too am having a problem something like this. In my file the xref is not displaying when the file is opened or plotted. I have recovered, run the "-exporttoautocad" command in 2007 and deleted all the "junk" from the xref, but every time I close this file, when I re-open the file the xref is not displaying though the xref-manager show everything is ok. Can find no errors and ask if this is a known problem? Using acad 2004. Note that the xref is nested and xclipped in model space. My border is a xref in paper space and works fine. Maybe a "style conflict" (textstyle) (dimstyle) between the two xrefs? Anybody seen this before?
