    Default Frame Generator Customization Tool

This tool works great. I am trying to figure out best way to make new families available to all networked Inventor users. Basically, two questions:
    1. Where should I save the ipt's that I created for each of the new family shapes? Is this required, or is the definition saved as a creation instruction macro, like other generated parts?
    2. Sould I save the xml file that was created using the Content Editor, and if so, where? (I think it ends up being appended to the "Mother" FG xml file, but I could be wrong)
I realize I may have some mistaken notions about how all this works, so please fiorgive any mistakes. Hopefully you will be able to disabuse me of them.
Using Inv 2008/Vault 2008. We all share one Master Project File (Master Project.ipj) with actual jobs segregated into individual folders under the "Master" workspace.
    Thank you

I would not get too deep in to the customization for Inventor 2008. They found a bug with it and pulled it from Labs. Be careful and/or wait for 2009.

Here is a tutorial I wrote for my class.
Once you have the profile in FG you don't need the part.

I would not use the Labs FG for anything you intend to migrate into v2009.

You can find the info about the bug here...

    http://labs.blogs.com/its_alive_in_t...tor/index.html

They also re-listed the FG with the updated code. Feel free to use the newer version for use into 2009.
