But AFAIK you only have two eyes

I've still just got a 21" Trinitron, it's okay but weighs about as much as two medium sized battle tanks.

Do you find two (or three :MrGreedy: ) monitors that useful?
For me, 2 monitors is a must have, three is just because I can! I almost ran 4 since I have 2 dual monitor cards in my machine, but that's just down right crazy!

Honestly, the third one holds my ribbon, xref palette, tool palette, properties palette and project navigator. It's nice to have them maximized instead of minimized and flying out all over the place! I have ACA stretched across both wide screens, which is how I've always ran it.

I have my 2009 screen, no command line, no menu bars. Pretty much all drawing area. I love it!

I run dual 21" flat panels but only have autocad on one screen, I keep my command line, properties palette and toolbars on the other screen with my outlook and windows explorer (folders). I don't see the need for a third monitor but an upgrade to dual 24's would be welcomed.

I keep my ACA stretched across 2 screens, so the third monitor works great. It's not necessary, but if you can do it with spare parts, why not?

I'd kill for dual 24" widescreens, though.

Does anyone know if you can move your Quick View boxes to another monitor?

I have a 22" widescreen flanked by a standard 19" on each side

toolbars, command prompt, layer pallette on the right; drawing screen in the middle; outlook/browser on the left. life is grand.

I tried running the properties pallette full-time, but found it causes a lag when selecting objects, so I only open it when needed (or use quick properties).

btw, if you have an extra desktop laying around..... google maxivista and put that thing to good use driving an extra monitor or two!

3 monitors is the s**t, isn't it?!!/ And everyone thought I was crazy for having 3 monitors.

As for the lag, I don't notice it when I'm drawing. It only lags when I open a new drawing, but maybe that's because I have 5 palettes open! It doesn't bother me too much. ~shrug~

I wish I could claim that setup from a geek perspective, but from a normal person perspective I proud to say - That aint my pad!

That setup would definitely qualify the owner for geek status.
