Has anybody used the 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator for AutoCAD 2008? I'm interested in trying it but I have not found a place that I can either have a free trial or a full return policy if I don't like it. Last I saw it runs about $120.

I don't know it this will help to answer your question, but in the past I used 3DConnexion's older SpaceBalls (4000 FLX and 5000 FLX) and they were fantastic 3D navigation tools. I had users who "claimed" that they could not effectively do their work without them.
I do not have any experience with the SpaceNavigator but their older SpaceBall products did the job very well so I would have high hopes for their newer product lines.
Hi there,
I have the space traveller, which if i remember correctly is a previous version, but fully programmeable, mouse and it is quite superb. I bought mine from this company.

Allan
when i remember i have it, it's an AWESOME tool for 2d (panning zooming)
for 3D modeling in acad & SU, it's downright indispensable.
only dissapointment is that it's not usable in Revit
Sometimes, i get lost in my own thoughts and need to ask directions to find my way back.
