Default Section view in a section view

I have a section cut vertially through a concrete column and I need another section cut horizontally through the column. Has anyone figured out how to do this yet. I was able to just make another plan view and adjust the view range and crop region to get the detail I needed but I can't get an actual section cut to work properly in the section. Any ideas?

Just create a new section into the section view and then rotate the section just created to have it horizontal.

Or select a "Detail" section, which allows you to place it horizontally.

Why do the simplest solutions seem to be the hardest to find. I had a little trouble finding the thing after I rotated it but a little playing with the crop region and I got what I needed.

    THANKS!!!

In your original section view, select the section tool. Now on the type selector, select "Detail View: Detail". A section can now be placed at any angle. If it is parallel to a floor plan view and within it's view range, a detail callout will also show up.

SWEET!!! I really need to go through those new features workshops. I don't recall that being there in earlier releases.

I need to talk to our trainer then. We started in RS2 and our trainer didn't show us that one. Good to know it's there. Actually surprised I haven't needed it before now.

At least your trainer didn't tell you that to have more or less than 42 breakers in an electrical panel would probably cost $100,000...
