Post Project Navigator, Standards and Project Based Tool Pallets

Can i get some guidance on makeing use of Project based tool pallets.

When i create a Project navigator job, i get a tool pallet group of the same name. I also have a standards file, which alot of the aec content is being compaired against.

Can I have tool pallets generated that will automaticaly come up in this section, based on the standards file? Are there any referances on how to set this up and maintain it.

    Thankyou...

    So,

I took a default template, which seems to have a project tool pallet associated with it.

This comes with the default items listed in the project standards. I have added some new walls to the standards file. How do i get the project pallet to update with the new walls?

    Thankyou...

Post Re: Project Navigator, Standards and Project Based Tool Pallets

I had a question, that if i keep answering my own questions, am I able to give my self 'Reps' for great solutions. Its a bit like multiple personality disorder in reverse. The great fear is that i am actually getting responces to my own questions, which is considered in some circles as being the first sign of insanity....

    But i digress.....

I have found that the tool pallets are controled in the project by 4 settings in the Project Settings. These are attached.

I have found that using the tool catalog generator, i was able to put a standards based catalog in the Tool Catalog Library, then suck the pallets created from it, into the PN based pallet. Other users that opened the project had access to the pallets. I found that shared pallets of standard content could also be managed this way.

It worked pretty slick all in all.

Im not certain if this is the best way to do it, and maybe I will wait a day or so for myself to responce to this post for a better solution........
