    Default Origins

    Hi,

Why is it in 3D drawing when I rotate my view in model space the origins 0,0,0 move? This is is a pain as I have inserted blocks in different Z locations, when they should be Z=0.

USCfollow didn't change anything that I could see

I have just been flicking through the different views and plan put the grid back at 0,0,0.
SW, NW isometic view etc are ok. But when I pick view front, back, bottom, left, right the grid moves.

I have been doing the following with some improvement, as I notice base point is changing. Don't know if I need to do all of the following commands. Dynamic UCS didn't appear to do anything but I turned it off anyway.

    Base 0,0,0
    UCS 0,0,0
    UCS world

It might be worth checking the block files to see that WCS is current and Base/Insbase is 0,0,0 in each

I use a programme called Mech-Q for piping. It moves the UCS around to make items. I am thinking if I cancel it in the middle of a command I will have to reset some commands like base.

A good point. Well worth checking.

If I do the following the UCS moves away from the origins.

From plan view change to front view and back to plan view.

The UCS goes to 0,0,0 then jumps to an new position when retrning back to the plan view.
