    Default ACA Fixtures to MvParts

I work in an Architecture/Engineering firm that uses ACA 2008 and MEP 2008. The Architects place fixtures, but they have no connectors. I know that ACA's fixtures are not intelligent Mvparts like MEP. Is there a way to convert the ACA Fixtures (ex. toilets, sinks) to the Mvparts with the connectors. Also if this is possible can I attach through an xref of would the Parts need to be live in my drawing.

    Any help is appreciated

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

First, welcome to AUGI and congrats on your first post!!

I'm assuming the fixtures created by the architect are blocks. If they are click on one of them and then right-click and select Convert to Multi-View Part. At this point you will be prompted for part type, connectors etc. The last part of the wizard will ask if you want to convert all similar blocks.

    Hope this helps,

Some see the glass as half full, others as half empty. As an engineer I see the glass as twice as big as it needs to be. ~Unknown~

This helped, but I was able to figure out what I have to do. I inserted my MvParts into a fixtures.dwg and placed it onto the network. The Architects (who have the MEP Object Enabler installed) clipboard copied the parts in and placed them to the exact location. Then I was able to connect to the part with my piping tool. Thanks for your help.
