    Default AutoCad 2009 Express Tools

I have installed and re-installed Express Tools. The menu is loaded. when I select certain commands there are not being found. I manually aploaded the "Burst" command and when I try to run it I get "; error: no function definition: ACET-ERROR-INIT". I have checked the support path and all is mapped correctly.

Does anyone have or had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Worked OK for me here. I also didn't have to appload Burst, Express Tools were already loaded by default.

I have found in the past though, if ET aren't installed properly at first, they are a pain in the you know what to get working.

Do you have the proper path set in the Options? Sometimes this gets missed and the program can not find were the command really is.

I have checked all my search paths. the express tools work fine when i take it back to out of the box. When I load our Company CUI, I lose all express commands. When "AP Load" the Burst command, it loads ok. Then when I try to run the Burst command I get this error "; error: no function definition: ACET-ERROR-INIT" I can't for the life of me figuire this one out. Any help would be much appreciated.

Why not just use the OOTB CUI and use your company's CUI as a partial CUI?

Thumbs up Re: AutoCad 2009 Express Tools

    hi,

I have same problem too, what i did is go to control panel, select AutoCAD 2009 program click add or removed programs a pop up window appear & chose add or remove features then select Express tool to add your new features.

NOTE: you have to unload your old express tool before you do this.

To unload your old express tool.

    - type menuload in command prompt
    - select express tool
    - hit unload

    Good Luck.

    Cheers,

When you say "Go to Control Panel", do you mean the Control panel in Windows Vista or XP? Or in Autocad? I don't see anything in Vista Control panel that would add or remove. Am I am looking in the right spot to find/get Express tools into ACA2009?

This is the same thing I had to do for 2008 as well. Simply add features through the add/remove programs of the control panel.

I have not done this in Vista. Your on your own there.

Well, Joseph is talking about the control panel in WinXP; I can't believe there isn't an equivalent in Vista (but, then, this is Micros**t).

There is still a Control Panel in Vista. The Add/Remove Programs has been renamed to Programs.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.
