    Default Tool Paletts

I have added standard items to my tool palette that I want the entire office to use.?
How do I get my tool palette to be viewable by the entire office.? I have a standard office profile set up already so everyone see's the same font and hatch and plot styles..

Best way is to create a tool catalog on a mapped drive and drag and drop your tools/palettes into it. The rest of the office can then drag you palettes onto their workspace.

If you go to the window pull down and select content browser, you can view and create tool catalogs here.

    Regards,

Ill try and point you into the right direction....

Go to the window pulldown menu and select content browser.
Right click and select add a new catalog
    Select create a new catalog
Click browse to find a folder on your network to add the catalog into (there is an option to create a new folder on the fly).
    Give your catalog a name
Click ok and you should see your catalog appear in the content browser.
Click on your new catalog to go inside it
Go back to your ADT drawing screen and drag and drop a palette into the content browser (if it is minimised it will re-open if you drag over it on the task bar)
You should see the palette in the browser keep adding additional palettes as necessary
If you go back to your catalog on the home page of the content browser, you may need to right click and publish your catalog. Select the option to leave it in the same location and click next. Follow the instructions given but when you see the option to copy tool dependant files to a new location specify another folder on the network to store these files (these are the drawing files that contain the item used by the tools on the palette).

All you need to do then is add the catalog to the content browser on other users machines. This process is similar to creating the catalog but you select the option to add an existing catalog instead. Once you have added the catalog you can drag and drop the palettes from the browser on to the users palette. You may notice a refresh symbol on the bottom of each palette which means if you change the contents of a palette in the browser other users can refresh and get those changes automatically.

    Hope this gets you started.

It's easier than it probably sounds!

    Regards.
