Question Vista 64 bit home premium

I bought a HP Pavilion dv9825nr. It has a 64 bit operating system. Last night I tried to install MEP 2008 on it in preparation to import my license. The disk would not run. It noted that I was running it on a 64 bit system.

The white papers for MEP says it will run on Vista 64 bit Home edition premium which is what I have.

What am I doing wrong? I only saw 1 installation on the disk, I am assuming it was 32 bit.

What should my next step be? ( I have filled out a support request from Autodesk, no response yet).

You need a MEP disk that is written to run on a 64 bit operating system or you should be able to to a system recovery with hp and reinstall windows with the 32 bit system from the vista recovery discs. Only con is you will loss all information on your system unless backed up
