    Post Making a permanent color

I would like to add a color to the Styles and Standards Editor. but I would like it to be permanent so it can be used on other drawings. These are our corporate color schemes and I have been having to add them to every drawing after I make every part or assembly.

    So my question is:

How do I make a new default color to the Styles and Standards Editor?

I believe all you need to do is make this change on the file you use for your template
(usually the .iam or .ipt) nyou use to create your file.

Hope this is correct. If not at least it was free!

changing the color in a part or assy, and using that as a template, works.... but won't advise it because the color still be defined as a LOCAL setting
meaning, it is only valid for ONE component.
The style editor has been made to support all files, to have some kind of CAD Standard.
So you want to make the new color a global style by synchronising the local style to the style editor.

When lateron you wish to change a color or material, you do that within the global style, and than update all the componants to redefine its color or material properties.

    same thing for drawingsettings

    Very nifty
