Default Recover a file using the journal?

A few times now in RS2009 I have experienced fatal errors when editing inplace families, and in editing mode the file is not saved ;-(
Many moons ago we could drop a journal file onto revit screen and have the file 'rebuild' - \
    Is this still possible?
    Any advice greatly appeciated

    Hi
yes you can still run the journal files as in earlier versions,
Just drag and drop the journal file onto your revit icon.

i find however that if you have been editing more than one file (family etc) the journal file will stop.

    Cheers
